Rice straw carries the memory of an entire autumn. After the grain is harvested, what remains is transformed into ash, returning through kiln fire as a natural glaze upon this plate.
Once part of the open fields, it now finds its place in everyday life, carrying the quiet warmth of harvest and the passing seasons.
Something seemingly ordinary becomes part of a continuing cycle. Quiet and unassuming, yet holding a strength entirely its own.
A season once passed, now held in another form.
