Giving new life to what has faded, a lasting Ashborn symbol
Featured Pieces
Tea leaves and branches grow among the gardens of Hubei, gathering mountain mist, rain, and the changing seasons.
Once transformed into ash and fired in the kiln, they leave something of the tea garden behind upon the glaze. A quiet continuation of plant life, preserved in another form.
Flat-rate Australia-wide shipping: $15
Discover our collection of handmade ceramic espresso cups, featuring traditional plant ash glazes developed from natural materials sourced across China.
The collection features a variety of plant ash glazes, including:
Jujube Wood – Made from the ash of dense, slow-growing jujube wood.
Mount Wutai – Made from plants gathered from the mountainous landscape of Mount Wutai.
Lychee Wood – Made from pruned lychee tree branches grown in southern orchards.
Yunnan Avocado Wood – Made from avocado tree wood sourced from Yunnan.
Mugwort – A traditional plant associated with protection, well-being, and tranquillity.
How the Blind Box Works
Each blind box contains one randomly selected handmade ceramic piece. The glaze and design will remain a surprise until the box is opened.
Due to the handmade process and natural characteristics of plant ash glazes, every piece features unique variations in colour, texture, and finish. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Hidden Editions
The collection also includes two hidden pieces, offering a chance to receive a rarer design.
One hidden edition features mugwort plant ash glaze with traditional silver kintsugi restoration, highlighting the beauty of repair and craftsmanship.
Please note: Product images are for reference only. Natural variations in glaze, colour, and surface texture are expected and are part of each piece's individual character.
